Poultry and Swine Technical Feed Representative

Country Junction Feeds is a growing and diverse company that is looking for an energetic, goal orientated
Poultry and Swine Technical Feed Representative to cover the province of Alberta with a focus on
Northern Alberta out of the Country Junction Feeds North mill located in Edmonton, as well as the
Country Junction Feeds home location in Wetaskiwin. Reporting to our Feed Sales Manager, the Poultry
and Swine Technical Feed Representative will be responsible for calling on current and prospective new
customers and providing them with a variety of feed solutions. The successful candidate must have a
strong working knowledge of the feed environment and the poultry and swine farming industry.


Responsibilities:
 Develop a strong positive working relationship with current and prospective producers and
customers, ensuring the highest quality product and service has been delivered
 Become an expert on the product line and the poultry and swine market, providing intelligence in
both areas to the company and clients alike
 Practice strong account management techniques to ensure that there is repeat business
 Participate in various trade events as a company representative
 Answering all customer inquiry’s in a timely and professional manner
Competencies and Skills:
 We seek qualities such as energy, creativity, comfort with the Alberta poultry and swine industry
 Familiarity with a diverse range of poultry and swine farms
 Readiness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
 Education and/or experience in the agricultural industry, related scientific field or sales
environment considered an asset
 Experience in a customer service environment with proven positive customer interactions
 Ability to work as part of a team environment and work with minimal supervision
 Quickly prioritize individual responsibilities, and effectively manage time under deadlines
 Knowledge of HACCP and COR compliance procedures is an asset
 Clean criminal record and drivers abstract required
